Need for usage of HDPE VERMI BED in Agriculture & Horticulture to benefit the Farmers.
There is a great demand for using HDPE VERMI BED of quality IS 7903:2011 for the purpose of improving agricultural produce, helpful in recycling any organic wastes into a useful bio-fertilizer, a Eco-friendly, non-toxic product, consumes low energy input while processing, improves physical, chemical and biological properties of soil and reduces the incidences of pests and diseases in crop production.
The Govt. of India and State Govt. have been encouraging the farmers to adopt latest technology in the farming sector by implementing subsidy scheme in supply of latest equipment to improve the efficiency and income of the farming community.
VERMIBED – ORGANIC FARMING:
•Dimension of the bed 12’ x 4’ x 2’ ( L x W x H) & Mass 340 gms /sqm ( minimum), having fourteen support pockets (40mm X 120mm) for inserting pegs to keep the bed erect.
•Three net windows on both sides for ventilation purpose to maintain required humidity to enhanced life span of the earthworms. A reinforced bottom outlet in corner is used for draining vermi wash with drain cover.
•Requires less space, can be installed anywhere (allows shifting of structure) with proper ventilation.
•Bed produces annually 100 liters of Vermi wash.
•Total Project Cost is 3.5 times lesser than conventional production (Concrete Pit)
Vermicompost is nothing but the excreta of earthworms, which is rich in humus and nutrients. Vermicompost is greatly humidified through the fragmentation of he parent organic materials by earthworm in HDPE VERMIBED. It is a non-thermophilic process by which organic materials are converted by earthworms and microorganisms into rich soil with greatly increased microbial activity and nutrient availability.
